Wool has always been part of the language of hunting. The graybeards in deer camp grew up in it, and plenty of boomers still swear there’s nothing warmer on a cold stand. They’re mostly right. The trouble was always the weight.

Blocker Outdoors^® kept the wool and wound a fresh spool of technology into it. The new Wooltex Jacket and Pant are a modern wool hybrid, blending wool with polyester fleece for the warmth hunters have trusted for generations, without the heft. It’s windproof by construction, and Blocker’s exclusive S3^® antimicrobial finish stops odors before they form. Then there’s the price. The Best of Both Fibers

Wool has always been one of nature’s best insulators, and it’s quietly made a comeback across the outdoors world. On its own, though, wool can be heavy and stiff. Polyester fleece brings the opposite traits, since it’s light, soft and easy to move in.

Wooltex blends the two so each fiber makes up for the other’s weak spots. You get wool’s warmth and natural quiet with the lighter weight and comfort of fleece. Realtree XT-3: Built to Break You Up

Realtree has spent decades figuring out how to make hunters disappear, and XT-3 is its latest answer. Blocker Outdoors is pioneering the pattern across its lineup, and Wooltex is one of the headliners. Look closely and you’ll see what makes it different. Bold, pale branches snake across a base of rich brown bark and leaf-litter textures, while thin geometric lines cut through everything underneath.

That mix is intentional. The sharp angles and fractured shapes break apart the human outline, which is the very thing a deer’s eye is searching for. The light-and-dark contrast keeps the pattern readable as natural cover at a distance, instead of blurring into one dark blob.

XT-3 is also made to travel. Its balanced palette blends into hardwood ridges, field edges, river bottoms and the in-between cover where so many late-season deer spend their time. Wind Stays on the Other Side

Anyone who’s sat a ridgeline in November knows warmth is only half the battle. A steady breeze will pull heat right through most layers, and it rarely takes long. Wooltex is windproof by construction. Its fabric build blocks the wind outright, so the cold air never gets the chance to strip away the warmth the wool blend works so hard to hold. Drafts stay out, body heat stays in, and you stay put long enough to see what steps out of the timber.

S3^®: Stopping Odor Before It Starts

Every Wooltex piece is treated with Blocker’s exclusive S3® antimicrobial finish. Odor on hunting clothes doesn’t come from sweat itself. It comes from the bacteria that feed on it. S3 uses silver ions to go after those bacteria directly. On contact, the ions attach to the bacteria, penetrate them and disrupt their DNA, so they can’t multiply and create odor in the first place. That’s a big deal on long hunt and longer seasons, when the same gear gets worn day after day. A whitetail’s nose gets the final vote on how close you get, and S3 helps rig the election.

The Wooltex Jacket keeps things simple and functional. An adjustable three-piece hood is built for comfort, and a harness port lets treestand hunters stay clipped in without a fight. A Pant That Keeps Up

The Wooltex Pant matches the jacket’s warmth and quiet, then adds a six-pocket design with two waist, two rear and two cargo pockets. Articulated knees provide optimum mobility, whether that’s climbing into a stand, kneeling for a shot or covering ground on a still-hunt. Fit gets plenty of attention, too. An integrated belt with a quick-release buckle cinches the waist up front, while elastic in the rear waistband dials in a custom fit. Leg zippers round out the package.

Wool-blend hunting outerwear has long carried a hefty price tag, and plenty of hunters have simply gone without. Blocker built Wooltex to change that.
